"We are excited to host our 1st annual Ping Pong 4 Purpose event at Dodger Stadium," said Clayton Kershaw. "Ellen and I are thrilled this event provides a way to combine our passion for making a difference in the lives of children with an activity that has become such a favorite of the Dodgers clubhouse. We’re looking forward to a great night for a great cause."

Clayton and Ellen Kershaw founded Kershaw's Challenge with one goal: To challenge and encourage people to use whatever passion, purpose or talent that they have been given to make an impact on the lives of others in need. The charity partners with organizations both locally and abroad to renew hope one life at a time. In addition to fostering strong connections in the Los Angeles and Dallas communities, the Kershaws also have helped to build and support an orphanage in Zambia over the past two years.

Major League Baseball recognized the Kershaws’ tireless efforts to give back to those in need, awarding Clayton the 2012 Roberto Clemente Award. He is the youngest-ever recipient of the award, which honors the player who best represents the game of baseball through positive contributions on and off the field. Clayton and Ellen are excited to build upon this recognition and further expand their charitable reach.
