STANDUP PADDLEBOARDER ROB ROJAS COMPETES IN 2012 ISA WORLD STANDUP PADDLE AND PADDLEBOARD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN PERU FEB. 21-25

February 22nd, 2012 – El Segundo, CA – CMPR is proud to announce Standup Paddleboarder Rob Rojas, has been selected to compete on the USA Paddleboarding Team in the 2012 ISA World Standup Paddle and Paddleboard Championships held at Miraflores, Lima, Peru from February 21st  to 25th. Rob was and remains the only hand-selected SUP athlete by the International Surfing Association to represent the United States as a USA teammate on Team O’Neill. The titles are surfed in an Olympic-style model, featuring more than 20 countries consisting of 150+ of the world’s best SUP’ers and Paddleboarders. 

Rob will be competing in three categories; SUP Racing Marathon Men, Prone Tech Men and Prone Marathon Men. Competition begins Tuesday, 21 February with finals Saturday, 25 February. 

Most recently Rob placed 1stin the O’Neill SEA Paddle located in New York City. Other races won in 2011 include Key West Classic - FL, Hobie Hennessey’s Waterman’s Challenge, Waterman’s Sunscreen Paddle for Humanity, The San Clement Ocean Festival,  O’Neill Jam from the Dam – Lake Tahoe, and more. 

Rojas has also signed with Los Angeles firm CMPR for exclusive representation in areas of publicity and marketing including endorsements, sponsorships, and appearances. CMPR is a sports & entertainment marketing and publicity firm which represents entities, athletes and celebrities such as: ESPN, Mark Burnett Productions, the Black Eyed Peas, Los Angeles Lakers Matt Barnes and Luke Walton, Pete Sampras, actor Eddie Cibrian, and more. About Rob Rojas:

Rob first jumped on a standup paddleboard in 2006 when he participated in a 50mile paddle from Dana Point, CA to LaJolla Cove, CA in an effort to raise money for Hurricane Katrina Victims. Since then, Rob has competed around the world and now sees paddleboarding as “a vision, it’s a passion, it’s a Movement”.   When not on a paddleboard, Rob is a Warden for California Department of Fish & Game, protecting and regulating commercial fish and wildlife.
